I can't believe my baby boy is already one! The year has gone by in a flash!! We had a great birthday party for our little "Buckaroo" with lots of family and friends. We had little pony cupcakes (I got the idea from "Hello, Cupcake" a fabulous book of cute cupcakes)and my traditional cookies on a stick, this time consisting of horses, horeshoes and "1" s. We served haystacks, "little doggies" (aka pigs in a blanket),ranch dip and chips and lots of drinks labeled "the watering hole". I used lots of burlap and bandana print for decor and made him a little banner saying "Happy Birthday, Cohen". My sister gave me a highchair that is an antique and used to be her girls' and I painted and distressed it to look rugged and little boy-ish:) We sang happy birthday and Cohen had his own cowprint cake with a "1" cookie that looked like a bandana, but our little cowboy didn't like the cake so much...too much for him I guess! So after a wardrobe change, he opened lots of fun gifts and gave out favors of "baby" trail mix (yogurt melts, freeze dried fruits and cheerios)labeled "happy trails to you, thanks for coming to my party! Love, Cohen!" and everyone got a stuffed cow. Thanks everyone for making our little buckaroo's day special and THANK YOU GOD for our wonderful children!! You have blessed us so richly:)
